Munnar, Thiruvananthapuram and Alleppey Tour Overview
Munnar
Munnar is situated at the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala. 1,600 m above sea level, this hill station was once the summer resort of the erstwhile British Government in South India. Sprawling tea plantations, picture-book towns, winding lanes and holiday facilities make this a popular resort town. Among the exotic flora found in the forests and grasslands here is the Neelakurinji. This flower which bathes the hills in blue once in every twelve years will bloom next in 2018. Munnar also has the highest peak in South India, Anamudi, which towers over 2,695 m. Anamudi is an ideal spot for trekking.
Alleppey
The village of Alleppey is a cluster of little islands on the Vembanad Lake, and is part of the Kuttanad region. The bird sanctuary here, which is spread across 14 acres, is a favorite haunt of migratory birds and an ornithologist's paradise. Egrets, darters, herons, teals, waterfowls, cuckoo, wild duck and migratory birds like the Siberian Stork visit here in flocks and are a fascinate the visitors. An enchanting backwater destination, Kumarakom offers visitors many other leisure options.
Kovalam
Kovalam is an evergreen and pleasant climatic beach resort. Kovalam is a dreamland for tourists all over the world. With high rock promontory and a calm bay of blue waters, this beach paradise creates a unique aquarelle on moonlit nights. Kovalam was brought to the public eye by the Maharaja of Travancore. Munnar, Thiruvananthapuram and Alleppey Tour Itinerary
Upon arrival, you will be met and assisted by our representative at the Cochin Airport. Transfer to Hotel. We Will proceed to Munnar area paradise situated at the confluence of three mountain streams and perched 1600 m above sea level. On the way to Hotel will visit Cheeyappara water falls(If time permits). And after check in formalities If time permits we will proceed to visit Echo Point, Kundala Lake, Madupetty Dam and Tea Museum. In the evening back to the hotel and overnight stay.
After Breakfast today being the day to explore more in Munnar, Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, Kundala Lake, Eravikulam National Park etc. (Closed during FEB & MAR every year due to breeding period) Overnight stay at hotel. Please note the Timings for visting: Eravikulam National Park- Timings 09.00 hrs-16.00 hrs. Tea Museum: Timings 10:00 16:30 hrs: Mattuppetty Dam Timings: 09:30 hrs - 15:00 hrs.
After breakfast proceed to Alleppey "Venice of the East" check in to the hotel and later after a small fresh up will proceed for sight seeing tour of Alleppey covering backwaters and beach.And evening back to hotel and overnight stay.
We will proceed to Kovalam.Check into hotel.Kovalam offers an excellent diversity with Kovalam beach to suit all desires and occasions. Three curve shaped beaches, alienated by stony outcroppings, from the major attraction of this coastal resort.Relax on the beach in the evening and overnight at hotel.
After breakfast proceed to Trivandrum located in the southwestern tip of India, bound by the Arabian Sea in the west and Tamil Nadu in the east. Named after Anantha Padmanabha or Lord Vishnu, the city is home to many ancient temples. The place has a long shoreline with internationally renowned beaches, historic monuments, backwater stretches and a rich cultural heritage make this district a much sought after tourist destination. Clean and green, Trivandrum the capital of Kerala is one of the most beautiful cities in the country. Go for a visit to Padmanabha Swamy temple, Napier Museum and Srichitra Art gallery. Have a look around to Horse palace near the Padmanabhaswamy temple which houses numerous artifacts. Visit the zoo near to The Napier museum. The park has plenty to excite the animal lover in you. The Trivandrum zoo is one among the best designed in Asia and is set amidst woodland, lakes and lawns. Overnight at hotel.
